[TWEWY] Benjamin Mitchell Taylor

Hey. Here's BJ from TWEWY, well, at least how I headcanon him to look like!

He's a side muse on my 777 blog.

He anger.

He's a local dude from New York City, back in the 80's when a gang known as Born To Kill ran, uh, pretty rampant, and BJ was part of said gang. (He has a tattoo on his stomach with the gang name, never had any intentions of removing or covering it up because it reminds him of the past, but in a more positive light to accept what is sone is done and move on. (Unlike 777 who is haunted by the past immensely.))

BJ's dad was of Vietnamese descent, while his mom was Straight Outta England™ who had big dreams of being a fashion designer. His dad left when he was really young, and BJ pretty much has no memory of him. His mom struggled with trying to take care of them both, considering its still NYC and still hella expensive, she worked 3 part time jobs and money was always tight with them. As a result, BJ ended up joining BTK to try and get money for he and his mom...which actually worked for a bit and he ended up saving some money so he and his mom could run away somewhere safer with more stable income.

During this time, he never stopped going to school and most students generally avoided him due to the the rumours that surrounded him because of his (unconfirmed) affiliation with a gang. He took a Japanese language course throughout highschool, and actually was pretty fucking decent at it. BJ's teacher actually had a sister in Los Angeles, and coincidentally, that was 777's language teacher. The two teachers thought it would be a fantastic idea to create pen pals between them, and BJ and 777 ended up getting paired up.  None of the letters were ever proof read by the teachers, so BJ and 777 were plotting to escape to Japan. 777 by himself, aand BJ with his mom.

Unfortunately, that didn't go entirely as planned.

BJ tried to leave the gang on a peaceful note, but it wasn't so and his mom was taken hostage. BJ didn't give into the threats to save his mom (he's way too stubborn for that, sadly) and ended up watching his mom get shot right in front of him. He lunged at one of the attackers in blind rage, and the two rolled around on the ground for a bit, until the other pulled out a knife and tried to stab BJ in the jugular. Luckily for BJ, he was fast, though not fast enough to get out unscathed, and definitely not fast enough to save his mom.

When he met 777 at the airport in Tokyo, he had a very half assed bandage wrap on his face, and his wound ended up getting infected. He never went to the hospital in NYC because he was leaving in a few days time (his mom's death was so close to happiness, it really hurt his heart,) and he was terrified of BTK members trying to kill him while he was already hospitalized.

And the rest, is kinda history.
